Good morning from this side of the planet. It's another week started and we are coming to the end of the tenth month.
It's another gloomy morning with rain and cloud. After a good break from week long rain on Friday, the rain is back with full power from Saturday. And it's non stop pouring or drizzling. Many areas have flooded. Though there is still not any official announcement from government on closing offices, colleges and schools despite the orange alert. The city is on stand still with all this rain in the last whole week.
We kept waiting for the official announcement from schools and colleges. I got mine in the morning, saying that they are closed. Seems like the school buses are stuck in the flood of the school ground and can't ply to pick up children. Also the classrooms have got water , even the top floors from the water getting clogged in the corridors. My school has declared holiday till tomorrow as off now. They may take a call later depending on the situation. Some classes will happen online. But I have not got any clarification on my one to one sessions. I have just got a mail to go ahead and send some worksheets to these children to practice at home. So, I will sit down, make few and mail them to parents.
My husband is at home, he will go to office only if the rain subsides. He plans to leave in the noon.
My daughter has left. I wanted her to take leave, but she has her internal assessment going on and she didn't want anything to impact her grades. She got a cab and just left the house.
And it's pouring now.
Not sure how long this rain will continue.
Just will be at home, trying to be productive, engaged and entertained indoors.
How about your corner? What is the weather like? Have a good time.

Enjoy the pleasant weather there. The rain has stopped here a while ago. But clouds are there and it might pour again in some time. The sun is trying to peep through the clouds.
We have yellow alert till Wednesday for the rain.

@arunima25 We have just received a severe battering from a storm that has brought down power lines and trees. Boats and planes have been cancelled and we have been comprehensively drenched in rain. The worst is now over.

Oh! These power outages have been happening here too with all rain and winds. Thankfully, we have power back up and most things run on it.
Good to know that the worst is over. Just hope that life gets back to normal soon. Take care.

Yes, it saves from watering. But I am worried about my plants. It's been excessive rain. I had just planted some seeds for coriander, brinjal and ladies finger just the day before this rain havoc started. I fear that they all must have been washed away.

It's awful! It is pouring with loud thunders as I write this. It is not getting worse as we got some sun yesterday ( for few hours) and today morning till 12. But it is not getting better either with 18_20 hours of heavy pouring each day. Many areas are flooded, power outages are common and traffic is suffering. Businesses are also suffering.

I'm sorry you're having so much rain. Yesterday the weather here was sunny and pleasant. The fall trees were in their peak of color. Thursday the temperatures will drop 20 degrees. Have a good week.

It's pouring again with loud thunders. . We were bit relieved to see sun in the morning, but it was very short lived.
I love fall colours. They are so vibrant to lift your mood. Enjoy them till they stay.

I would not complain for the rain . We would need this rain to beat the summer . We saw the shortage of water even in Bengaluru. My only worry is why the government officials and elected members are not trying to utlize this rain water so that the underground water in many regions are taken care. This would in fact help to beat many of the water crisis Bengaluru face , especially during summers. Unfortunately , the heavy downpouring has impacted city traffic and government agencies. There is no respite for private employees. Well, it is better to be indoors and enjoy the cool atmosphere . You have a great day ahead!

Yes, we had severe water crisis with no rain during summer. Bangalore went without rain for almost 60 days in the summer. That's very unusual. We keep getting rain throughout the year.
I wish that government and elected people had people intrest in their mind. But unfortunately, they have myopic view and most misuse their power for their personal gain and benefits.
The rain has stopped a while ago. But then the sun and clouds are playing hide and seek now. There is more chances that we will have more rain in the afternoon. We have yellow alert till Wednesday.

Oh! Is it the onset of winter there?
We had a good shower here just now. The day was sunny and gorgeous. But seems like the prediction is for a gloomy rainy day tomorrow.
