Sunny Monday

Happy Monday Everyone! looks like a nice day ahead with sunshine and warm temperatures. The overnight hovered around the freezing mark but as the day goes on it will get warmer and we might even hit 80 degrees F.
My daughter and her friends went pumpkin picking yesterday and they had a wonderful time. She came home with a nice sized pumpkin for our front porch, a few small ones to use as decoration for our kitchen island and best of all, a box of apple cider donuts.
Normally I wouldn't eat something so sweet for my breakfast, but I did indulge and have a donut with my coffee. It was soooo good!
Today is just the usual stuff to do around the house and I want to find a book to read. I haven't read anything in awhile and I do miss having a good book to get lost in.
Otherwise nothing else is going on.

Pumpkin picking sounds fun. I love pumpkin.
Just found that the refrigerator is out of order this afternoon. Had to throw away all the foods inside....What a waste.

It is a mild and sunny day here today also.
this warmth will come to an end on Wednesday according to the weather forecast.
We had a relatively quiet weekend.
I did up 13 special Halloween bags for the girl's friends from the playgroup.
We cannot give them to everyone, but in the parking lot after they come out, they can be given out.

@Marilynda1225 The twins just got into eating chocolate. Grandpa has been feeding it to them, our son and his wife don't feed it to them.
I made some little orange chocolate pumpkins, and he took them some today, and they were both really skeptical, but after he told them that Nanny made them, they were more inclined to taste them. They trust me and what I make. I made a lasagna yesterday, and Grandpa took some of that today and shared it with the girls. And they asked him if Nanny made it. I don't know who else they think cooks around here.

i was alone here all weekend. I could not sleep Saturday night so Sunday was a waste of time. I am up and rewrote something for a writing contest. it is only 200 words but I have to choose them carefully to tell the story. It is based on a beginning that they give you.

I enjoyed my weekend recovering from a infection in my right lower leg with the help of medicines from the hospital and some homemade medicines.

Apple cider donuts sound so good. The temperatures are going to drop about 25 degrees on Thursday. Fall is here. Winter will not be far behind. Yuck! Over the weekend we went to see my husband. Have a good day.

yesterday i tried apple cider donuts for the first time and i agree - they are sooo goood. they aren't even too sweet. just perfect.
my weekend was really nice, i spent time in nature with my partner.

I don't have a book in mind and my afternoon got sidetracked so I didn't have time to look for a book
