Is it possible to get a refund from a food app?

Or something when you're not pleased with your food and when they tricked you,a customer with the picture and a wrong description? That is what i'm trying to resolve. I keep getting automated thank yous, apology with the heart but not sure is my complain read by a native person of my country or they think i'm stupid. I'm resolving this from Saturday. Latest update: Since I deleted my account (due to being unhappy but tried to come back) and since process of deleting is ongoing, instead of credits, they will return me the money on my card in 3-5 days time. I think it's fair.

@grenery8 oh wow. I remember one time I ordered directly from the restaurant app and they sent me the wrong item and there were missing orders, they sent it right away and apologize when I informed them

@rakski my fault is i ordered it at lunch time but wanted to eat it for dinner so i discovered everything later. i received now the news that they will refund me the money on my card. it seems that my account is in the process of deleting, which i did, i know but that's it. maybe this is for the best. goodbye, food apps.

They redeemed my order by credits but feeling angry,i deleted my account. I tried to sign up again and it says i can't. Not sure if they blocked me or what.i think i'll have a fun week

@aureategloom it was later revealed they don't have meatballs at all on their menu.come on,dear lord. They gave me credits but i can't log in now.in my fury,i deleted their account.when i tried to enter again,they won't let me in,like they blocked me or something

It is wolt.i've been panpalling with them since saturday. I thought i was having middle eastern meatballs and i got mixed cevapi,which is not the same. I know whose cevapis are the best

my throat is still in not a good shape and i feel i'll have to talk in english, which i'm not mood in. they finally reached to me that they will refund me on my paying card. i accidentally deleted my account, not knowing i can't go in so considering all signs, it is the best not to order anymore and, funny thing is, i ordered for the first time. thank you for your support and have a good day as well

Sorry to hear about your food app experience. I had a bit of an issue with Food Panda app some years back. I can't remember the concern anymore, but I made sure to send a trouble ticket and I think they gave me a voucher or something to make up for it.

firstly, i was receiving emails that they're sorry while i mentioned refund from the beginning. then, they would refund me with credits but being unhappy, i deleted my account, which was still in process in deleting (i can't go in anymore), they will refund me on my paying card. so complicated, isn't it? well, i got tired from food apps and this was only my second order in life, ah

Most food apps/food delivery apps gives you refund in case there are missing food items or a wrong food item is delivered. We can complain on the food quality , however that would be the discretion of the food apps/food delivery apps to consider it or not. In case the delivery was late and hence the food quality is spoiled, could be a case to talk with food app. But stating the food app, the quality of what is ordered is pathetic but needs refund most probably would be turned down. It could be true the case could be genuine but not every food app would be considerate to think on those lines. Well, give a try. Good luck!

Current situation is i deleted my account before contacting them,then tried to apply again and i can't but,they stored my number and all other contacts and gave me credits.hm..

Here we have a couple of Apps. Since I have been a customer for approximately 5 years now, I get refunds on time except for a few tricky situations. Sometimes refunds take longer due to certain conditions on the non food items. Yet a lot depends upon what Terms & Conditions the sellers follow.

@grenery8 Yes Delivery charges pinch. Some prepaid 3 monthly or annual plans help. And a regular income as well.

I've a new customer but,overall,food is very expensive on the apps,plus delivery fee. We should have a stable job to order food often.

I hope you can get one of their hotlines or mobile phone, so you can directly talk to a person not on a bot. I think you can settle that matter, there are online resto that really cares about their customers, and attend to their needs, specially if it is about bad services.

I don't like talking on the phone,not comfortable and i prefer when there are evidences of my complain,so i have a proof if something goes wrong.they gave me credits just,before contacting them,i deleted my account.i tried to sign up again and i can't but,i am still receiving rmails of them,which means they stored my info.they are shaddy

really? they approved me. first, they offered credits but since i deleted my account, which is still deleteing itself (in 4 days time, so strange), they said they will return it on my card, all the money and i am waiting for it. ah, my friend, always some drama with me

i tried it for the first time and this is what i got. the meat that i didn't want to, bad drink (not for drinking), sharp ingredients in salad. waiting for a refund on my card. they said it will be visible in 3-5 working days.

I hope you can get a refund soon. Luckily I never had problems with food apps when I lived in a bigger city, but I don't think they would have replied to my complaints with hearts. Yes, that was likely to be an automated response. So lame.

absolutely automated and maybe they are foreigners too so, they think it works. lame and hope they will send it. thank you and will be avoiding the apps from now on also, i deleted my account and they didn't ask me to return or something. i guess they really don't care, hm

@popciclecold but since i can't log in, they decided to refund me on my paying card. it is weird they would have given me more credits than this amount but okay. i take it and will wait to appear it on my card account.

This has not happened with me yet..But one day I have ordered food, but due to some technical problems they canceled my order and I got full refund..
