I’ve got PVSD.

I know that self diagnosis ought not to be trusted, but in my case I’m quite confident that my current general malaise is a case of Post Vacation Stress Disorder. I’ve already shared my feelings of general lethargy and despondency after my return to Ireland after a 3 week trip to Greece, but it’s good to have a name to put on my malady. I normally am content to live in Ireland, but returning from Greece at the onset of winter I find the place to be soggy and dismal, and not on a good way. Lifestyle here is indoorsy but the rooms in people’s houses are overheated and I smell mould in the air. Furthermore, my next trip will be to Edinburgh and Manchester in a deep and dark December, so that will be dismal too, so it’ll be April at the earliest that I’ll be able to enjoy a climate and lifestyle more suited to my needs. Still, I must remember as must we all, that most people in the world never even once in their lives enjoy the delight of a holiday.

Lately, I keep hearing about First World problems. I guess this is one of them.

I'm sorry you had to return to dismal weather. This week the temperatures here in Ohio will drop 25 degrees on Thursday. Blechh! I hate the onset of winter which will be all too soon. Have a good day.

that PVSD sounds familiar, but still - we should be grateful for the opportunities we have April is only 6 months away
