about the weekend/hobbies

the weather was really nice this weekend and i told my husband that i'd like to spend some time outside. and thar's what we did. we spent the day by the pond. he was fishing and i was reading a book. i find it cute how we're having different hobbies but still doing them together. i thought this is a problem at the beginning of our relationship, but later i realized that it doesn't matter that much because we have other things that we both enjoy doing. what's your opinion/experience when it comes to (not)having the same interests/hobbies as your spouse?

you are yin to his yang. it is actually romantic when i think about it; lake, you reading, him fishing and maybe grilling you that same fish at the end of the day

@grenery8 i don't know, the rules i guess. but i also couldn't eat that. i feel so sorry for fishes haha why would you just yank them out of the water haha

It is okay to have different hobbies, I think it makes the relationship even more interesting.

they say opposite attracts. I think it is better to complement each other. We cannot have the same hobbies always, right?

well, we're not that opposite, but we do enjoy different hobbies. it is good to have something in common though

No spouse here. I would often try the hobbies of my significant other and vice versa, but I believe it's nice to have an excuse to be on your own every now and then, so I wouldn't force myself into another person's hobby anymore, just for the sake of spending more time together... which isn't always a good thing. That's a beautiful photo over there, by the way.

i try to do the same with my significant other and it's always so funny because it's just like we're not meant to participate in other one's hobbies and thank you, i took it. had to screenshot because i couldn't upload the original here
