I did a bit more decluttering the other day and gave my sister-in-law two boxes of items that I didn’t want to keep. I also made some chocolate slice (bar-type cookies) for her to sell.
After we had dropped the bits and pieces off, we went to the ParaQuad Book Barn. This is a huge ‘barn’ of used books. Proceeds from the sale of the books goes to the paraplegic/quadriplegic charity which raises money for research and care of those afflicted with paralysis of some kind.
The hardcover books and non-fiction have a price pencilled inside the cover but the vast majority of books are $2 each. We happened to score a sale day and got fiction books for $1 each. We spent about $13 and came home with eight books. Next thing I’ll need will be more bookshelves!
The photo shows some of the bookshelves in our house.

@JudyEv Where I grew up there was a huge book store that was known for being a used bookstore, I loved it.
A whole city block and multiple stories.

I like book sales, however, I feel guilty if I buy anymore books.

You have a lot of books. I got rid of most of mine as I got tired of cleaning them

Wow, that's a lot of books! Yeah, you might need a new bookshelf soon.
But hey, it was a great deal and for a good cause too.
