Walmart worker found in walk-in oven.

This is just an unbelievable story. A 19 year old woman was found dead in Walmart's walk in oven, in Halifax, Nova Scotia. She worked there, they do not know yet if she was somehow trapped, if it were intentional or not, or if she had any medical issues beforehand. I read several articles on it...it just sounds horrendous, being basically cooked in an oven! Of course, it is all under investigation and that part of the store is being inspected, etc...I have to wonder--will anyone ever want to ''walk in'' to the oven again? Would you want something baked in that oven, when you knew the young woman died in there? There are a lot of ways to depart this earth, I don't think this is one of the ways I would choose to go.
Police in Canada said Tuesday they are investigating after a 19-year-old Walmart employee was found dead inside a large walk-in oven in the store's bakery department.

Not all of them do. Evidently this one is large enough and big enough to have one. Whatever the circumstances, I just hate to think of her in there. So terrible.

I didn't think there was such a thing as a walk-in oven. I mean, how could workers get prduct in and out without being burned or in this case, killed. I saw this on Tiktok, but I never take any of what I see on there that seriously.

Yes, there are walk in ovens, large bakeries and places that roast meats, etc. I have actually been in one or two for an inspection. They all have at least one door that has a release, etc. to keep this from happening. This is covered by many news sources, i don't do TikTok.

@MarieCoyle I don't do TikTok either. I use YouTube exclusively for videos interesting story are walk-in ovens used for big establishments that need to cook large amounts of items at once?

@MarieCoyle I had to look it up because I hadn't heard of walk-in ovens until now. That and I still don't see how anyone could be cooked alive in one.

@xander6464 I did read today that the Walmart is closed until further notice, that there was a call for help that came from the Walmart store, but it was too late. It's all under investigation, but sadly that won't bring her back to life.

@MarieCoyle Something isn't adding up. There is no reason she would of been in that store, that young in that department by herself. Walmarts going to have to answer to a lot.

@thislittlepennyearns I thought the same thing, she either snuck in there, or was forced. To find her by surprise makes no sense, they should have cameras everywhere--it's Walmart, they always do. Someone is going to be in big trouble.

They have existed for years, are very pricey, raise your business insurance, etc.

You would think there was enough safety precautions in place to avoid this happening. How very sad for the young woman and those that found her. On my top ten list of ways to die, this probably wouldn’t make the list.

I read somewhere that her mother worked there, and was with the people who found her in the oven. If that's true...oh, my heart. How horrible.

@MarieCoyle I have heard of that happening at times. Even if they fall in it's easy to sink in the grain.

@wolfgirl569 It seems to happen somewhere every harvest season. Yes, they sink, and unfortunately suffocate.

I hope to never hear about another person having to go through this. Reminded me of a good friend I have...years ago, her son suffocated in a big grain bin, during harvest season, when the bin was being loaded. Not sure why I got that in my head, but I did.

That sounds even kind of spooky, If she worked there she should have known how to be careful but then she was very young,

I had to wonder if possibly she had an unknown medical condition of some sort, that may have caused her to collapse in there. So terrible.
