Lots of people getting sick these days

And they say it's because of the change in weather. We've had hot days and cold days. Right now, we're under Storm Signal #2 with strong winds and scattered rains.
My daughter's done with her prescribed meds. She's still coughing a bit but fever's gone. I just have her drink turmeric tea every day and an herbal supplement. She coughs when she laughs or draws in some air. I give her a back rub every night at bedtime. I use Vicks's VapoRub Xtra Strong for her back and aceite de manzanilla for her tummy.
Several of my husband's colleagues are sick, too. My best friend messaged me a few days back to say that everyone in their household has got cough and flu-like symptoms. Some of my daughters' teachers have called in sick as well. It's a good thing that work and classes have been suspended due to the weather disturbance. Hopefully, this gives enough time for people to recover from their illnesses.

i'm also coughing a bit and usually when i go from inside to outside and vice versa and sometimes after laughing too or exercising. i didn't go to doctor cause it's mild and i hope the cough goes soon.it is 4th week when everything started. i hope your daughter gets better; it's a seasonal thing or something in the air.

The changing weather (and climate) can really take a toll on our health. I hope you're well.

I feel that in recent years, the weather change is more frequent and so more rounds of flu and seasonal changes in the same year. Many of my students and their parents are also sick.. quite a few are on sick leave. Here too, rain havoc and flood situation continues from last one week.

Yes, indeed. It's how weather and climate changes can challenge our adaptability. I actually dread the heatwave more than the rainy/cold weather. All the same, these extreme temps can make many people sick.

The nurse that visits my grandpa said it could even be Covid. Whatever it is, it must be very contagious. I usually don't get sick that often and for so long, but here I am. The bad weather doesn't help either, with the immune system. I noticed I felt much better after I took a walk in the sun.
I hope you stay safe and wish your daughter a speedy recover.

The sun is a natural healer. I try to expose my daughters to sunlight whenever possible. It's a good thing that their corner bedroom gets plenty of sunlight.
