Just Too Weird

I just got a strange phone call from a phone number with an unknown name. I googled both, and they don't exist.
It gets weirder. As soon as I hung up from searching, I heard someone saying hello. It was my best friend. She said I called her. Her husband had the phone and said hello to me several times, then handed it to her.
I did not call her. I did not hear her hubby say hello. I heard her say it when the phone was off.
What is going on here? Am I living in a conspiracy theory? Do you get weirdness on your phone?

I have not gotten those unknown calls for a couple of years. Most stopped when I got rid of my landline and went to a smartphone only. This is the strangest thing that happened lately.
One time, I got a recording saying that this conversation was interrupted. I could not call back. Once before, I picked up my phone to make a call. I heard my best friend on there. She had picked up her phone to call someone. We connected but neither of us called the other.

I do not pick up calls from unknown number with help of caller id. I have seen calls from Nigeria , Puerto Rico and Pakistan - where I do not have absolutely no known people. Some of these calls seem to be calling via VOIP. These numbers could not be identified aswell and well for the other one , well could be that it was line distortion or misunderstanding. I cannot be definite but then weird. Unless it is recurring , we can never speak on any theories. I do not recollect any weirdness with my phone so far. Well, do not read too much into it. Have a good weekend!

Not that weird. I'd feel like I was in the twilight zone.

Phones are scary. I laugh at how all the tech companies use them as second layer of password protection. Your post is proof they not safer than anything else. There is some amazing hackers out there and hope this is harmless. I am not sure what you can do about it. Maybe get a new phone but they still like to tie new phones to old phone accounts. Its weird world these days

@nela13 I do too but often, blocking does no good. These companies buy up blocks of phone numbers and when you block one, they start calling from the next number. Block that one and they go to the next. Soon, your block list is full and you can't block anyone anymore.
