Today I have an appointment with the work doctor. Every 2 years we do blood work and electrocardiogram to check our health. The law says that all employees have the right to periodic free medical appointments. It's called occupational medicine. I have already seen my blood work results and everything is well, no signs of the hepatite A. I came with a colleague that is also a friend, she checked her blood work too but it seems her cholesterol is high despite taking medication for it. Do you also have or had this kind of medical assistance at work? Picture of me waiting.

Yes, we had this kind of medical assistance at work. High cholesterol is often genetic and the anti cholesterol medicines (statines) are more dangerous than useful.

Yes, high cholesterol is often genetic, that is also my husband's cause of cholesterol. He eats the same as I and I don't have cholesterol but he has.

@nela13 - This is the same for my husband, he is skinny and underweight, he eats the same as I but his cholesterol is high. He stopped taking cholesterol medications.

@LadyDuck Ideal cholesterol values ??vary a lot from country to country, I know that in Asia they don't worry as much about cholesterol as we do. Cholesterol is essential for a healthy brain.

We didn't have this when I was working but it's a very useful service. I'm glad you take advantage of it.

That's cool. Actually it is required for every company to have their employees annually.
