Ohio Highway Police Officer rescues a trapped kitten from a drainage system

Ohio State Highway Patrol Officer Matheny with the help of a Columbus resident Clayton Simpert who managed to rescue two kittens who were scattered in a New Albany Ohio roadway on Friday with a third kitten was rescued by the police officer.
Officer Matheny going inside the drain to get the third kitten who was trapped inside of a storm drainage by using a traffic cone to rescue the kitten.
After the three kittens were examined by a veterinarian. One kitten will be adopted by Clayton and the other kitten will be adopted by Officer Matheny.
A third kitten named Luna is looking for a new home. How did the kittens wind up on the streets is not known.

Three kitten runaways all together makes me think that the owner probably abandoned them, and I hope that the owner is identified, and punished, for such cruel action to kittens.
