Speaking of squirrels

This morning I heard all kinds of racket. I looked in the bathroom since that was where it seemed to be coming from and up on the skylight outside was a squirrel laying flat and drinking what looked like some kind of water droplets on the glass. I went back later with a broom and hit the area nearby so he scattered. Also, it might be possible porch squirrel isn't dead, because I saw a small one about his size on the railing. He didn't hang on the porch though, just scampered up a tree. Time will tell. Any animal antics in your area?

Lots of squirrels here too. Lately there have been coyotes coming through at night. I hope they take a dislike to our yard.

I have the feeling if the trail cam was hooked up in the back a coyote would show up on it.

@snowy22315 they just sound like they are in such a loud frenzy. It’s a scary sound to me.

@Tampa_girl7 They can make a lot of noise for small animals, especially when leaves are on the ground like now.

Yeah, I saw something I wish I had unseen in my neighborhood. I spotted what looked like a Siamese twin squirrel crossing the condo parking lot with some difficulty. Upon a closer look, I was horrified to see this squirrel had attacked another one and had it by the neck like a vice grip in its mouth. It's so disturbing what animals do to each other in the wild.

Wow, I never saw them be aggressive to one another. It was probably a territorial dispute or something.

No animal visiting here - but last night a kitty went inside the house and brushing its body to my legs.

Mine did that to me this morning. He likes it when I am around to entertain him.

Well, I guess you see them when you go to the horse events.

The squirrels are on the roof during the day; and the raccoons are on the roof at night. I hear a lot of nuts rolling around during the day. Have a good weekend.

I am not sure I have heard raccoons on the roof..but sometimes when it is raining I hear this tapping noise going on. Haven't figured out what that is..one or the other I suspect.

Only stray cats for me to see, but my daughter said they had their first ground hog.

I very rarely see stray cats. In fact, I think any cats I see probably belong to somebody. A true stray wouldn't last long around here I don't think.

The one that was on the rail hasn't been back..however, porch squirrel was more of a morning and evening visitor although could show up at any time really.

Not that I know of..maybe if you stepped on their tail or something. Most keep their distance from people.

When I come outside, squirrels seem to appear. I go sit in a little park about a block away. A squirrel runs in front of me and scampers up a tree when we get to the park. Yesterday, I went out walking and found a lake that I heard was nearby. I sat off the road and watched the egrets, ducks, and smaller birds. A lot was going on in that lake.

They are cute when they play. They like to chase each other.

Oh, it could be porch squirrel. Or his heir.
Only birds can reach the balcony, I'm not counting bugs. I hear some sounds but haven't checked how close they actually get.

I have never heard a squirrel on the skylight before. I hope they don't make a habit of it.
