Happy Halloween (trick or treat)

United States

Can you believe it's the last day of October already? We have unseasonably warm weather today which makes it nice for all the trick or treaters. None of them will have to bundle up with coats over their costumes. Our township has designated hours for trick or treating which is between 6pm and 8pm. We get a decent amount of kids coming to the door since we live in a community of about 100 houses. It's always fun to see the costumes especially the really little ones who aren't quite sure what trick or treating is all about except people give them candy. Since trick or treating is smack in the middle of dinner time we'll probably just have sandwiches for something quick. Maybe grilled cheese with chips and pickles? Other than it being Halloween and the end of another month there really isn't much else new. How's your day going?

Its going, pretty typical except for the over the top warmth. I bought some tootsie pops and have a few fun sized Butterfingers but Nextdoor said trick or treat for this development was last Saturday. It usually is, but it was cold that night. I wasn't going down there. So, I imagine there won't be any trick or treaters tonight. I might wander down to the mailbox area just in case I see some though.

I love butterfingers. If I lived closer I'd be ringing your bell

My day has been much better the day before. I got solid sleep last night, which I really needed. I’m glad you guys are open to trick or treaters. A lot of people seem to want to skip handing out candy this year. When I lived with my parents, I’d be the one to go to the door, and hand out the candy. It was adorable to see these little kids so excited to get goodies.

Trick or treating is still very popular here. I'm sure as the neighborhood kids get older we'll have less coming to ringvthe doorbell. Glad you were able to get a good night's sleep. It certainly makes a difference. Hope tonight is a repeat

We haven't gotten any treaters in years. Sort of weird to have a time for it. It's not even fun until it's dark.

It is a blustery windy final day of the month here. It is quieter than usual for trick or treaters. We seldom get any, but I made up quite a few bags for the twin's friends from the playgroup, that they gave out after the playgroup today. At work I had a phenomenal day, I had 3 perfect customer surveys come back after an interaction with me. That made me feel great.

We haven't had trick or treaters for a long long time. The most kids we ever got were 6 one year. Our homes are spread out. Most churches and some businesses in our area have trunk or treats as this is a safer way for the kids to go trick or treating. I saw about 100 kids this morning going to our library to get some candy.

I miss Halloween. It was fun on Hallowwen day. Children ringing the bell and their lovely customes. Well, missed give me the candies and chocolates. I am not sure , if Halloween is celebrated in any other countries other than US. It is not there in most Asian countries . My day was hectic , running through my errands. I did not have a proper sleep so was a zombie till afternoon and then it was a mad rush to complete things. Also there were month end activities and I wanted to complete them. Still lot of tasks pending to be completed and need to rush through and complete them. You have a great day and weekend!
