That is my nephew's little girl - not little any more. I have lost contact with her now as is the case with youngsters who live in their own world. I suppose we all do - thanks to online activity I am more here than with my off line contacts. I was holidaying with this little's one's family a few years ago - was on a US trip and that is when I clicked this photo She was a charming 4 year old full of energy and a great conversationalist. I used that phrase 'say cheese' and this was the result I wonder if a photographer these days still says 'say cheese' before clicking.

Childhood is a phase when we are the most energetic, curious and carefree.

@Dreamerby Even while taking selfies if you want a grin you can always say "say cheese"

I doubt that photographers still say "say cheese", we try to be more "natural" in our actual photos and most people love to take "selfies". I do not like selfies.

A group selfie looks odd with the one taking it is always shown somewhat zoomed.

@allknowing I agree, those group selfies are even worse than personal selfies.

I love how the photo captures the reflection of the trees and buildings in the water. The girl looks like she is telling the wide-mouthed frog joke. “Say Cheese” is still popular over here.

Their house is alongside that lake. She was naughty and when I said 'Say Cheese" that is how she did it.
