Sorting my phone out so I can vote for Wynne Evans!

So yesterday I told you in my shopping post that I went into the Vodafone shop to see why I couldn't vote for people on Strictly using my mobile phone. He said it was probably because I had a spending cap on my phone and he gave me a number to phone to ask the people at Talk mobile to raise my spending cap.
So when I got home, after I'd had my lunch, I went into the bedroom and phoned the number the guy had given me. It was an Asian girl who answered and we had trouble understanding each other! Anyway I told her I wanted to raise my spending cap, and she asked me all the security questions. Then she told me I had a £10 spending cap, and what did I want to raise it to? I said £20. So she said, doing that now for you.
So then I asked her if that would enable me to vote for people on Strictly? She said, I'm sorry can you please repeat that for me? So I said, I tried to vote for someone on Strictly and it said this number is restricted on your mobile. Will this mean I'll be able to vote for someone on Strictly? And she said, Oh, you'll need premium rate for that. And I said, Oh, OK. So she put me on premium rate. She said it might take up to 52 hours to work, but it shouldn't take that long! So she said, You're spending cap is now £20 and you have premium rate. Is there anything else I can do for you today? And I said, No, thank you.
So I've hopefully fixed the problem now, and if I still can't vote tonight at least I know it should be working by next week!
How's life treating you at the moment?
I hope you are all well.
Have a nice day.

@sharonelton What is phone contract? Can you donate from phone call? I am sorry, I am confused! Vodaphone is a telecom company, right?

A spending cap is how far over the amount of my bill I can go. For example, I pay £4.95 a month by direct debit for my phone contract. My spending cap is now £20. So, for example, if I was donating money to a charity with my phone I can't go over £20.

@anya12adwi You don't know what a phone contract is? It's a contract you have with your phone provider to pay a certain amount each month. You can donate to Children In Need by texting the amount you want to donate, for example FIVE to the number they give you. Yes, Vodafone is a telecom company.

Why pay for it?
If you go onto the Strictly home page on the BBC website, you get 3 free votes.
It’s a win win, or rather a Wynne, Wynne, Wynne, if you give him all your votes!

@sharonelton Fortunately Wynne got through without your added support. I thought he was at risk of at least being in the bottom two, but he must have lots of fans like yourself keeping him in. Once it gets down to the best dancers he’ll be out. One, maybe two weeks time?

@Orson_Kart At least I could vote for him on the website! I didn't really think he was in danger of being in the bottom two. He's got most if not all of Wales voting for him! Those who listen to his radio programme, probably some in Wales who don't. Plus ofcause people who don't live in Wales too, like me. My friend Kirsty from Facebook/Twitter(X) votes for him and some people on Facebook on a Welsh group who are also not from Wales also say they are voting for him. Yes, he has lots of fans like me keeping him in! I'm hoping he'll win! #WynneToWin

I hope it works out for you. Life is not treating me too well right now; but that's the way it goes. Have a good weekend.
