Kenya has got a new deputy president weeks after impeachment of the former Deputy President. Efforts by Rigathi Gachagua, the impeached second in command, to block swearing in of Kithure Kindiki (the appointed one) were futile. Swearing in took place on Friday 01.11.2024. It was a sad day for the impeached and a happy day for the appointed. Many of us Kenyans found the entire process of removing the former Deputy President very unfair. Betrayal is the best word that can be used to describe the process.

In every country people vote out those who betrayed their country. The same thing has been happening since last three elections in India;too.

I do not think this was how Kenyatta visioned for Kenya. Kenya has all the good resources , location compared to most African countries. Unfortunately it is the governance which is creating issues. Rather than settling petty politics , if they could be together for greater good of Kenya. Unfortunately some of the people walk the wrong path and create the unneccessary political tension. Hope ,the betrayal stops and good governance reigns. Well, some things we can wish for . Hope to see better things for Kenya. Take care!
