Pizza, Pizza

Last night we decided to make a homemade couple of pizzas, and they were absolutely good eats. We used Kroger mild sausage, Kroger sliced white mushrooms, Kroger onions, Kroger black olives, and okay, a yellow bell pepper we got from Aldi. I also used Kroger pizza blend shredded cheese which was a combination of asiago, mozzarella, provolone, and Parmesan. We also used Kroger pre-made pizza crusts and Kroger pizza sauce. I prepared the crusts with a brushing of olive oil and some garlic paste. It turned out very good. Put it in the oven at 400 degrees for about 25 minutes and these were some really good pizzas, hands down. Now, I purposely said Kroger many times in this piece, so now I guess we wait and see if Kroger puts ads out on here. It WAS all Kroger stuff. But let's see if the algorithm picks it up. Either way these pizzas were delicious. What went on your table last night?

@rakski The most important thing is that you can add extra or less ingredients to your liking. Or you may totally drop or add something as you like.

Our local Pizza World makes a rather mean pizza, but homemade does fit the bill rather nicely and is way better than anything frozen.

@porwest Nah. I do enjoy pizza. I used to make homemade pizza every Friday night. I just don't eat olives.

@NJChicaa To me, black olives are good on pizza, in salads, tacos...at least those are the main things that come to mind. If I remember right, they are also put in spaghetti alla puttanesca, which is a good dish as well. In fact, I have not made that one in ages. Might need to get some capers and get on with it.

I always find it strange when someone says they don't like pizza. You'd think that would be universally liked, but of course some people don't.

@Shavkat Maybe one day. I'd have to find them in the store. I am sure someone's got them.

I love black olives on pizza and I often add a little Parmesan to mozzarella, that gives more taste.

This pizza blend cheese I used had Parmesan in it. I am not unknown to sprinkle Parmesan on the sauce before adding the toppings though.

Taco salad is a favorite of ours here too. We use flour tortillas and put them into taco bowl forms and bake them to make them crispy, and it's always very good.

@wolfgirl569 That would be more like nachos to me. Either way, it can't be bad, and even when I make the crispy bowls I just crush it all up and mix it together anyway.

Pizza making is also our "hobby". It's like the thing is made in our house regularly. It's fun to eat when you are early hungry or when you haven't made it for a long time. Mouth starts watering by the very thought of pizza

It is nice that nowadays you can easily buy premade crusts in the store, so all you have to do is slap on some sauce, add your toppings, pop it in the oven, and stuff our faces. lol

My elbows went on the table. I can do that now. Had the other half of my taco lunch. I make matzoh pizza. I like thin crust, so I use a matzoh and mix pizza sauce and chunky spaghetti sauce, top it with cheese, and stick it under the broiler until the cheese melts. Personal size!!

Nothing as good as a pizza. I have a Betty Crocker pizza maker but I have never used it, Either I don't have all the ingredients or I am just lazy to try,

Courtney, my peer, and I sometimes watch me as I make three pizzas that i got from Walmart and are personal pan pizza size. I just put pizza sauce (obviously!) and extra shredded mozzarella cheese and if I can find the only pepperoni I will eat as it is not too hot, I will put that on it. I love pizza, but it has to be cheese and only pepperoni if I make it at home. I could get it at a pizza place as I used to decades ago but they change the one they use sometimes and it is way too spicy for me we have two locally-owned pizza parlors in my town that everybody loves. there is a friendly argument among we residents which is the best because everyone is loyal to their own favorite. Glad your pizza was delicious!
