Hardest Part as a Mother.

I think the hardest part of being a mother is when one of your child die. Today my college friend's daughter died. She just turned 18 last June. She lived a happy childhood being an only child, she was a gymnast turned cheerleader from primary to middle school. When she was 15, she had a knee injury that caused her to be on the sideline for a while. At 16, she had a stroke. She had sudden light weakness on the right side of her body and her left face started drooping. She just complained of a headache but still could walk slowly when she woke up. Her mom noticed the face, the reason they went to ER. Months and months later, she recovered and was able to do things on her own. Her facial muscles and body weakness were restored. She celebrated her 18th birthday lavishly. Yesterday, she experienced sharp pain in her lower abdomen. After tests, it was found out that she had an ovarian cyst and it ruptured. This causes a lot of bleeding that leads to cardiac failure. May her soul rest in peace.

So sad; I didn't know a ruptured cyst could cause heart failure

She had an internal bleeding. And she is under maintenance due to her past stroke.

Letting go, both by the loss of a child as well as when you have to allow them to live their life as an adult are difficult. I have been through both.

I don't get it. Was there any internal injury or tumor that the doctors couldn't diagnose? Was there any auto immune disease that was not disclosed to the parents? Stroke leading to cardiac failure at this age!!! Was there any problem in the brain tissues, nerves?? The reasons you mentioned (according to the parent) somehow don't make a valid point.

she has an undiagnosed ovarian cyst that ruptured, which caused her to bleed internally. Since she had a stroke before she is taking maintenance medications already and maybe the bleeding caused some other problems. I just got this from my friend that told us the story, if there is deeper story behind it, I do not have any idea

That's very, very sad. After overcoming the issues with the stroke, it's just awful that she then passed away in this way.
