How do you handle election night?

So people everywhere are waiting for the results of today’s Presidential election in the United States. In the past, I’ve periodically checked in through the evening to see who was leading. Tonight is different. I’m going to try to distract myself and maybe check at 1am to see how it turned out (assuming things didn’t go crazy and we still don’t know). We know @NJChicaa is going to be watching all the coverage as she is a self admitted political junkie. What about the rest of you? Non Americans, are you interested? @marguicha says she is. Those who live here, are you going to be glued to the news, or are you going to check back tomorrow morning for the results? It could take longer to know for sure.

I will wait until the results are in tomorrow. I fear an all out war opening up south of our border if she gets in. That is frighening.

@TheHorse Like the little war that they had at the White House on that one day a few years ago. Fighting within your own borders.

I will be watching the news this evening and will be glued to the TV. They say we will not know the winner until later in the week though. I just pray it is not a Bush V Gore thing though as Trump will never give up. We would be in limbo for weeks or .months .

Yes. Like @marguicha, I am also following the elections. When I saw in the morning it was Trump with 198 and Ms. Harris on 112. But I just checked back a couple of minutes ago and Donald Trump had reached the figure of 230. But Kamala Harris had well caught up with him at 210. Seems like it is going to be tough fight to 270. Let's see what happens.

I will not worry about it. It could be a few days yet before we know for sure.

My left eye is achey; acting like something is in it. But by tonight I will have to be feeling good enough to drive us to the train station. The local Democrats are having a watch party there. I live in a red pocket so this will be interesting.

@AmbiePam Thank God DoorDash decided to play nice. I had them deliver me Visine. I barely slept last night and shouldn't be driving even a block.

I’ve been peaking in to see who is ahead, but really all we know for sure is the Republicans got the Senate.

There is always anxiety while awaiting for election results. But I believe America is a mature democracy and Americans do not have to worry much during this time. Anyway my thoughts are with you. May the best candidate take the day!

I watched THe Benson Election Day Extravaganza on Antenna TV from 8 a.m. it is such a funny show! I have heard nothing at all about who is winning the election i think my sister said she has to go into her office today (Wednesday), so she will call me as usual on those days she goes to her office on her commute to work. I am sure she will tell me

Since , it was morning here , we could get all the news live! Trump definitely made history by becoming the second president in history to be back in office after becoming an ex-president. It was also Trump's election to lost more than anything else. Worse, Kamala had no scoring points. She had no idea on how to turn the economy and how US could position itself on some of the International escalations. Trump on other had all those. Plus Biden as POTUS did not help the economy much atleast thats what the data shows. Trump 2.0 has lot of challenges compared to his first term. It will be interesting. America made a choice today!

I am curious . . . I'm sure I'll be peeking throughout the evening. They say we can see how results are trending, but we won't know the final outcome until a few days. Going to take this day by day if I can . . . if anything I hope it all stays peaceful.

I’ll do what I always do in the evening: get up from my nap, have my prayer and Bible reading time, eat dinner, and then worry about it. Maybe watch severe weather coverage if there’s any going on.
