I am experiencing chronic pain in my left knee for the past months. The previous were all manageable and tolerable but currently the pain increased or I would say doubled. It really bother me so I'd like to see my doctor very soon for the evaluation. As much as I want that a home remedy would work but, I believe that it's best to see my doctor this time. I did not experience injury. There's never an inflamation on the part that's why I was confuse it never go away-totally. I am hoping that things are just alright.
Do you immediately seek medical attention in cases like this or do you allow some time or wait it go away by its own?

Might need to reduce salt intake and consumption of red meat.

@ZedSmart Years ago, I would have swollen knees due to salty food. I found that fish soup (that's not salty) reduces the inflammation. Best to consume the oily kind of fish like salmon, pompano, tilapia, etc. Add plenty of ginger because ginger also helps reduce pain and swelling. HTH
You may also want to avoid legumes like nuts and beans.

@almostoveryou it's good to hear that it works. I think I have to watch my food intake nowadays. Not getting young anymore

I'm not one to go the doctor
. But that being said, I do think you should find out what could be wrong with your knee. My knee injury is from sports stuff - I've done a lot of stretching and strength training for many years on it - and still working on it. Anyway, once you find out what it could be, look up YouTube videos on knee PT . . . there are A LOT of videos out there but you have to find the right ones for your specific needs.
