Two city of Olney employees were driving their dump truck around town. Suddenly the driver pulled over to the side of the road, jumped out, ran to the back of the truck, grabbed a shovel out of the truck bed, and began beating a turtle on the road behind the truck.
After the turtle was as flat as the proverbial pancake, the driver returned to the front of the truck and climbed back inside.
"Why in th' heckified gollygumdangit did you just do that for!" the passenger exclaimed.
"Aw, he just made me mad", the driver said. "The son-of-a-gun has been following us all day".
Have you ever found yourself caught behind a municiple vehicle apparently out for a Sunday drive on a Tuesday?

Scar doesn't like dump trucks or garbage trucks or graders or anything big and loud.

Poor turtle dude didn't have a chance. Hope karma bites them and they get fired.

It should not have been chasing that truck all day long. 
I guess I could have just had the driver stop...then back up 10 feet or so...

Was that a hallucination? Otherwise, I am speechless. I was once caught behind on a garbage truck on garbage day. I took the wrong turn and wound up behind it and those guys made me wait until they picked up the trash with the noise and the smells and there was room for me to pass.

@scarredforlyfe Today. Half an hour. They saw me and had room to pull over but their boss hadn’t told them to do so and they aren’t contracted to be kind.

They used to until their budget got cut due to Trump deciding it made more sense financially to just leave them there to rot.
