In the school where I am teaching, we've changed our textbooks for the sixth time already since I came here in 2010. We can really say that our school doesn't have a solid curriculum to rely on.
I am in our curriculum development committee and I can say the task is not easy especially from time to time the curriculum has to be adjusted because our department has to change the textbook that often.
I am a book collector. So, I am happy with the situation. However, as a curriculum developer, I am also sad about it. Everything has to be changed from syllabus to PPT to worksheets to quizzes to exam papers.
We recently changed from the use of World English series to Focus series. From Cengage Learning to Pearson.
This prompted me to make my own series. I've started and I am done with the first book. Indeed, my first book on this has been published. I am making the second book now. It will be a series of 7 level.

It must be a stressful job to make new worksheets, ppts for the updated syllabus.
