My failed mission to the Dollar Tree.

The Dollar Tree near my house used to have thing like cortisone cream and el cheapo Benadryl. But I have not seen these important products the last couple of times I was there.
I have an itchy patch on my left shoulder, and I thought I would score some of both products this afternoon. Alas, my mission failed. They had neither.
Have you ever gone on a "mission from God" that was a total failure?

Our Dollar stores are notorious for sketchy inventory. You really can't count on finding everything you go to get. Go to Target, their OTC stuff is very reasonable. I am sure Walmart is as well, but as everyone surely knows, I really hate Walmart.

I think you can check the balance of gift cards online, I've done it before but not with Walmart cards. Maybe you are richer than you know you are, and you can get Kitty a big treat!

I guess I never considered getting generic meds at Dollar Tree. I have a Family Dollar even closer than the Dollar Tree and a Dollar General across the street from the Family Dollar. A big, busy street and a huge parking lot beyond to the Dollar General.
I used to get my generic benedryl from a San Antonio based store called Fiesta. But then I found a huge bottle on Amazon with a 1000 capsules. That way I don't have to go to the store... I have put the capsules in smaller containers so I don't have to keep the giant bottle around. Always my goal.

@snowy22315 Well, today was a total loss. But I still have all four pairs of shades I bought. I am on a good roll.

I walked into a Dollar Tree a couple of weeks ago needing some advil and hand sanitizer, only to be told that they didn't carry either item.
I thought that almost every store carried hand sanitizer in today's day and age, but no..........they do not.

Sorry they didn't have them. Yes a few years ago I needed diapers for the granddaughter. Out of 3 close places 2 didn't have any at all. Was able to get some bigger ones at the other place

Do they even have spots for those items? If not you had just as well go somewhere else or even order on Amazon.

Well, I wouldn't say they were missions from God, but lots of times I've gone to a store to get something they carried for years and been disappointed because they no longer carry it.

Haven’t been to Dollar Tree in a long time. Don’t even know what’s there these days.

@lovebuglena They have had some sunglasses there that suit me. I have bought four pairs. Fancy (Ray-Ban) sunglasses tend to get stolen from my truck. But these el-cheapos do not. And I like them.

I have had a few occasions where I wanted to buy batteries from a dollar store for my remote and radio and it was not in stock.

Sorry to hear your mission was unsuccessful. I have been looking for some things that I have been seeing on social media and my dollar tree stores do not carry them which sucks.

My mother has been itching too from ant bites. We both keep forgetting to get itch stuff from the store.

Go to Walmart and check out their Equate products (store brand). You'll save a lot. I hate when I use or wear something for years; and then they discontinue it. Have a good day.
