Went back to Best Buy...returned the HDMI adapter...went to find something else...NO one to help...Yesterday there were workers all over the place..busy..Today there were just a FEW and they were SWAMPED. Trust me with the prices they are charging they could afford more workers...Just sayin.
I found a USB adapter. Sounded like something that would work. It said it would automatically download the app to make it work. LOL Sounds great doesn't it? Yeah..just like plans on paper...look good...don't work that great.
The problem is..my monitor did not recognize my new computer, because I have not set it up for the internet. Can't set up what I can not SEE! LOL
BUT..it hit me like lightening after wasting an hour replugging up my Old Unit. That when I got my new Monitor, the cord it came with would not work on my computer. I had no DISPLAY slot. BUT..the NEW computer does. I remembered the guy yesterday saying something about Display connect. Checked the back of the monitor and Sure Nuff..there is that Display slot right beside that old plug in cord. I went looking for the cord...Have NO IDEA what the heck I did with it. Checked every cord I could find. SO..back to Best Buy tomorrow. I see those connecters run about $9.95 on AMazon. I paid $32 for this worthless adapter I will be taking back. Not wasting anymore time looking..pretty sure it is in the Back bedroom where I can barely get inside it. Keep putting off cleaning it out. Really haven't felt good enough to tackle it..It will be an All Day project.
I feel a lot better knowing that this might fix the problem with the monitor.

I miss Radio Shack. Use to get all my camera stuff there. They always had things no one else did.

I'm glad I use laptops. I don't have to worry about weather a cord or whatever will work or not. Good luck trying to figure it out.
