Hello, all! Church was good today, and afterward they had birthday cupcakes for me. I got a ride home with my surrogate Mom, who told me that some of the ladies wanted to take me out to lunch on Tuesday. She also gave me an envelope with something in it, which I opened on our way home. She said it was a bolo tie that had belonged to her father, and she wanted me to have it because the color of the stone was close to that of a (golden) topaz (my birthstone). I was really touched that she would give me something like that. I tried at first making a pendant out of it, but it's a tad heavy, so I am thinking of finding a big safety pin and using the bolo as--well, a pin.
