Today I went out with my best friend Yasmin. I messaged her this morning on Facebook messenger and told her I was feeling depressed and so she asked me if I'd like to go out, so I said yes. She said she'd be round ar 2:00pm, but it was actually 2:20pm when she turned up. She came with some bags for some more newspapers that I've been saving for her pets. She put them in the bags while I went to the toilet and got ready. Then she said she'd leave the newspapers at my house while we went out, and come back and pick them up afterwards.
We went to Cannock to a charity shop there called Newlife+. We had a nice little chat about things on the way through Cannock Chase. When we got there, she dropped off her donation and then we had a little look round. There were several different sections to the Newlife charity shop. We went into another part and Yasmin bought some tea towels. She payed with her debit card. They didn't give you a bag so she was carrying them round in her hand. Then we went into yet another section where there were soft animal toys that were battery operated. Yasmin got a horse that had another animal as a rider on it's back. Then she got some Christmas jumpers for her Chihuahuas! She payed for them with her debit card again, and still didn't get a bag.
We went and put the stuff in the boot of Yasmin's car. Then we went to McDonald's just to go to the toilet. Then we drove round to another section of the Newlife charity shop. This part was a clothes shop and the donations for this section come soley from top designer brands like River Island. We looked at some jumpers and dresses and Yasmin chose some things she wanted to try on. I saw a lovely dress that I liked. We went up to the dressing room so Yasmin could try on the things. She had a lovely dress that she liked but she knew it wouldn't fit. She was thinking maybe she could take it out a bit to make it fit. But when she came out she decided to just have one of the jumpers that she liked.
Then I took Yasmin to see the dress that I liked. She asked me if I wanted to try it on, and after a bit of umming and arring I said yes, even though I knew it would be too long on me. We went to the dressing room and I tried it on, and as I knew, it was too long on me. But I loved the dress. I thought I looked a bit frumpy though and it's made me feel like I need to lose a bit more weight. Yasmin said I could take it to a seamstress to have it altered, but that would cost another £30 on top of the £24.99 that it cost. So I reluctantly decided not to have it. But Yasmin did take some photos of me wearing it which she is going to send me on Facebook messenger. Then Yasmin tried on a few more things and chose one more to buy.
Yasmin bought her things, and then we went back to the car. It was 5:05pm when we came out, and it had gone dark. Yasmin put her purchases in the boot of the car, and then we drove to the Designer Village where there was a Starbucks. I had a Cappuccino with soy milk and a No Chicken plant based wrap which they warmed up for me. Yasmin had a croissants and a flat white. Yasmin treated me using her debit card again. It was very delicious.
After we'd eaten we had a look round the Designer Village. Everything is rather expensive there. Yasmin tested out a perfume in the beauty place. Then she looked at the price. £52.99! That was the small one! The larger one was £70!
When we went back out (without buying anything!) I said, Is that you I can smell? She said the more she smelt it the more she liked it, and I said, I should think so, at that price!
We went into the Lindt chocolate shop. Yasmin was thinking of buying a few boxes of chocolates but found they were too expensive too! We also went in a jewellery shop which was expensive too but Yasmin said her husband John had bought her a few of the pieces.
Then we went to the bank and Yasmin went to the machine to check how much money she had in her account. It was either £148 or £178 I can't quite remember. Then we went up on the lift, because I said I didn't want to go up on the escalator, and we went in these really posh loos, and then we went back down on the lift again. In these lifts you went in one side and came out the other!
Then we went back to the car and set off for home, except Yasmin stopped on the way to get some fish and chips because she was still hungry. She said she only asked for 6 chips and they didn't charge her for them. She didn't eat them straight away, she just put them on the back seat of the car. I
Then she took me home. When we got back to my house my Mum and Syd were still in the dining room after having their dinner. We took the newspapers out to Yasmin's car and I waved her off.
I put Hollyoaks on. In the add break I went to the toilet and went upstairs to peg some of the washing up. I was expecting part 2 of Hollyoaks to be on when I came down, but it was still the add break!
So that was my day.
What did you get up to today?
I hope you are well.
Have a great night.
Nos da!
(The picture is of me in the dress that I liked.)

I enjoyed my day working on sharing news stories and taking care of the house by placing the garbage cans of the side of the street for the city sanitation department to pick up the garbage on Tuesday since today is Veteran's Day in America.

Thank you very much. Yes, it was. I hadn't done it in years either. I did go with her to see Franklin Graham earlier in the year on a coach with her church though.
Yes, thank you. I do feel much better after my outing. But I don't know how long that will last.

It sounds like you had a full and enjoyable day with Yasmin! Exploring shops, trying on dresses, and enjoying some tasty food must have been refreshing, especially with such good company. The dress looks lovely in the picture—maybe worth saving for later alterations! ?? Thanks for sharing, and I hope you have a relaxing evening

Yes, I did, and it really helped for a while. It was fun. The dress was lovely, but I didn't get it. Maybe one day I'll be able to find a nice dress that similar in a petite size!
Thank you very much. You are welcome!

@sharonelton It can be good being taken out if you’re not feeling great, especially if you get to use push loos!

Thank you very much. I really loved the dress, and I felt like a princess in it, but it was too long, as you can see, and it would probably cost a lot to alter. I hope I find a dress in the future that is just right. It was a great place to browse for a bargain!
