A Birthday Card I've made for Syd for his birthday tomorrow.

I've just finished making this birthday card for Syd for his birthday which is tomorrow. I made this card for my Mum to give to him. I've also made another one that I'm going to give him from me.
So my Mum and Syd went to the luncheon club at Church today as usual. I usually do some painting while they are out, but today instead I said I would make the birthday cards for Syd while they were out, so he wouldn't know what I was doing.
The card I'm giving him is a bit smaller than this one, but it also has a picture of a train on it. First I mounted the topper pictures onto gold mirri card. Then I cut some gold mirri card to fit the front of each of the card blanks. I then found some card to use as a backing for the centre pieces. The card I chose was really meant for other subjects. There was one piece of card meant to be for a gardening card and I think the one on my card was meant to be for a rugby themed card! But the elements relevant to those different themes were to one side of the card, so I measured and cut off the other side of the card so you couldn't tell what other themed card they were meant to be for!
Then I mounted the backing card onto the gold mirri card with double sided tape, and then in turn attached that to the card blank in the same way. Then I mounted the toppers on top of that.
To finish off I added a sentiment to the front of each card and one inside, and then they were finished. I've given my Mum the card I've made for her to give to Syd.
Now my Mum wants me to make her a Happy Belated Birthday card for Frances because it was her birthday today. And then I'll hopefully make some more Christmas cards.
While doing all this I'm listening to my Wynne Evans CDs!
What are you lot getting up to today?
I hope you are all well.
Have a nice day.

@sharonelton I did a lot of sorting out bank issues. That’s good that you’re making cards rather than buying them. And you’ve don’t it beautifully.

That sounds quite an intricate process. The card looks really lovely. It won't be long and I'll be fishing out my Christmas cards again.

What a nice card for a fellow. Happy Birthday to him. I'm working on here. Just finished my fish dinner. I so enjoyed that.
