It is a dreary, rainy day here in my neck of the woods. It is a cold rain, you know that kind that goes straight through a person? Like that, I'm aging, I know.
I love Christmas and the season. I haven't put any decorations up just yet, but am looking forward to doing that the first of next month.
Today I needed a pick me up and decided to take a Christmas mug out of the buffet to use. It is an old mug, but it does the trick. When I poured my coffee into it on my coffee break this morning and lifted it, I noticed it was lighter than usual. I got out my other favorite Christmas mug, a bit newer, and compared them in size.
The older mug is alot smaller. This tells me that the portion sizes were smaller years ago than today. There is nothing wrong with a little less. Sometimes it can be a great thing as portion sizes and our sizes creep up in size gradually.
I will try to adopt to the smaller size and over the course of time that should have health benefits for me. Less caffeine cannot be a bad thing, can it?

@Juliaacv .......But those who drink a couple of cups that size cup would be just right. I only drink about half a cup.

@celticeagle I drink about 3 cups a day, of the large size, so I should really cut back.

@celticeagle I think that my fingers are too big for a tea cup.

No. in fact less is more. Just be sure you're actually drinking less caffine. Just because the portion is smaller doesn't necessarilly mean your caffine intake is less.

That's a good idea as long as you don't find yourself having two cups instead of one.

There must be some truth to the saying that "less is more." I also like small cups and mugs, especially for my tea. I don't believe in indulging in large portions, especially when it comes to drinks or food.
