Winter is here finally!

With 30 degrees Celcius two days ago, I thought winter would be here only when pigs fly
. In hindsight, I see how wrong I was!
The chilly winds from the Ganges mingling with the scent of Shiuli flowers are weaving a bucolic charm on the hamstrings of a paradise underway! The chimerical picaresque Calcutta of the winter months is finally a reality now. I can go to College street and have a cup of coffee with fish fry and chicken cutlet at the timeless Coffee House ! I can imbibe the sublime beauty of Victoria Memorial without having to worry about the scorching heat baking me along the way!
I am already wrapped around a muffler and a Cotswool shirt!

"Christmas is a homely festival. Its celebrated within the family." That's what my sister says all the time when I lament that I have never been to Park Street to see Christmas Celebration.
She lives in Dublin.She is not my biological sister. A distant relative she is. But I call her sister.

@dreamerby I love winter. Here we have 12 degrees right now and next week will drop to 6 - I hope. I was in Calcutta in November 1979 and I loved it.

I'm fine.Here also the weather is too cold.They say we are going to have a very cold winter this year.I'm eagerly looking forward to it.I love all seasons.Every season has a unique beauty of its own.

I think that college street with coffee shop i so nice plus the weather, it will b nice to have some coffee and read a good book.

i like winter as long as it doesn't get too cold. we are supposed to have our first inch of snow next Friday for this winter. i don't know how i feel about it though!
