Yesterday's shopping trip down town, and having my lunch out.

Yesterday I went shopping down town again, and I was going to have my lunch out because it was Syd's birthday and my Mum was going to treat me! That is even though they weren't coming with me! They were going to the Dr Johnson pub for theirs instead. That's a bit further down the road where our church and the little Tesco is. Anyway, my Mum was going to the house group that meets at Church first, and they went out just before I did. It was a dull day again but it promised to cheer up at about 1:00pm. I went round the top path round Stowe Pool again. Then I went to the toilet by the Cathedral. First thing I did then was go to the photo expert shop and I got another 15 photos printed. A lot of them were of Wynne Evans on Strictly Come Dancing. The lady who was doing it for me saw them on the screen and said, Oh, do you like Strictly, and I said, Yeah. And she said, That one was from last week, wasn't it? Both of the girls in there were wearing Pudsey ears for Children in Need! Anyway, I got my pictures printed, then I went to WH Smith to get a special edition bookazine from the makers of Doctor Who magazine. It's called Into The Vortex and it's got all of the Doctor Who stories that have ever been shown on TV right from An Unearthly Child in 1963 right up until Empire of Death in 2024! Also, previously I'd been in the big Tesco looking at all the rock'n'roll magazines and I'd said, Why don't they have a magazine for classical music, or opera? Then yesterday, guess what I found? Yes, a magazine about classical music and opera. I think it includes a bit of jazz aswell. It's called Music (nice title!) and it's got a free CD of classical/opera music with it. I haven't listened to it yet. It's got two works on it by composers who's names I can't pronounce! So I got that. I went to the self service till and scanned in the music magazine. But I accidentally scanned it in twice and it came up as £13.98 instead of £6.99! So I pressed cancel items, selected one of them to cancel, and then it said, Please wait for assistance! So a guy came over from the other till and said, I'll do it. He sorted it out for me, and I said I scanned it in twice by mistake! Then I carefully scanned in the Doctor Who bookazine, because I didn't want to pay double that, it'd be nearly £40! After I'd payed for those I went and popped my Mum's repeat prescription in at the pharmacy, then I went to the down town Tesco. My Mum wanted 2 lots of strawberries again, but again they didn't have any. So I got 2 lots of raspberries instead. Then I went and got a bottle of white scholer or whatever it's called. (Non-alcoholic wine.) Then I went to pay. I think it came to £5.10, so I gave the lady two £5 notes my Mum had given me to save breaking into the £10 note. After that I went to the Jungle Street Kitchen cafe for my lunch. The lady that served me was very nice. It was my Mum's treat as I've said before, because it was Syd's birthday. I had Jasmine green tea first. It came in a little silver tea pot, with cup and saucer with a little free biscuit on the side. One of those individually wrapped ones. I made sure I drunk it all first because last time I saved some until after I'd eaten, and then it had gone cold! Then I had salmon catch. There were 3 big stakes of salmon with what I think was rocket lettuce, and 3 different sauces. There was also some little potatoes, and while potato is not recommend on a macrobiotic diet, they were only small and I don't eat it that often, so I thought it was OK. There was half a lemon on the side with a little yellow flower atop it. Unfortunately I forgot to take a photo of it! It was very delicious, but it was also quite filling, and when I started to feel full I thought I might not have room for the vegan ice cream I said I was going to have. So I slowed down a bit and tried to let it go down a bit. When I'd finished I pushed the plate away, and the lady came over and fetched it, and left me the desserts and coffees menu, because I'd already told them I'd probably be having vegan ice cream when I went to order and pay for the other stuff. So I went up to the counter again and ordered a Vegan vanilla ice cream, and when the lady asked I said I'd have strawberry sauce on it. I did manage to eat all my vegan ice cream. I knew I wasn't going to have any dinner on the night anyway. When I'd finished I went to the toilet in the cafe, and then I left. The lady helped me open the door. And then I went home. I didn't need to go to the toilet by the Cathedral after going to the one in the cafe. As I was just coming up the alley between two hedges towards Stowe Pool who did I see coming in the other direction but Pastor Steve with his two dogs again! I asked him which one was the fussy one. I started stroking her and she jumped up my legs. I let her lick my hand but I didn't let her lick my face this time. I told Steve I'd been to the Jungle Street Kitchen cafe as a treat because it was Syd's birthday, and I told him what I had. Then he asked me what Syd had, and I said, Oh, no, he's gone to the Dr Johnson pub for his! And he said, Oh, so he wasn't actually with you? And I said, no! So he went off to finish walking his dogs and I went home. When I got home my Mum and Syd were still out having their dinner in the Dr Johnson pub. I unpacked everything and left Mum's change, Tesco club card and shopping list on the coffee table. Then I went to the toilet, and I was all prepared to spend a while in there, when I heard this buzzing noise and a wasp flew out from behind the toilet paper holder doll! I jumped up off the toilet like nobody's business! The wasp was on the window, so I went out and closed the door behind me, and I went and fetched a pot and a piece of cardboard, then I got my key and opened the back door. But when I went back in the toilet the wasp wasn't in a good position to put the pot over him. He was right up against the window frame. Then he crawled onto the window frame between the lower and upper panes of glass. Eventually he went up onto the higher pane where I couldn't reach him and then he disappeared behind the blind somewhere. When my Mum came back I told her about the wasp. I had to go in later for a wee 'cos I was bursting so I opened the door carefully but couldn't hear any buzzing. When I tried to look up to see where he was I could see him curled up asleep at the edge of the window frame right at the top. I went to the toilet this morning about 7:45am but I couldn't see properly then because of the way the light was. He's probably still there. Mum was threatening last night to flush him out with the fly swat so she could catch him and put him outside and I said, If you want to poke him Mum, you go right ahead! Anyway, what have you lot been getting up to? I hope you are all well. Have a nice day and a wonderful weekend.

Thank you. Yes, my Mum caught the wasp on Saturday morning and Syd went and put it on the lawn far away from the door so it wouldn't come straight back in again. I hope you have made all the calls you needed to make. What were they all for?

Thank you very much. It's very good. I found out Mozart was a Mason! (Who knew?) I haven't listened to the CD yet. I'll do that on Thursday when my Mum and Syd are out at the luncheon club. Thank you. I did enjoy my lunch. My Mum caught the wasp on Saturday morning and Syd put it on the lawn far away from the door so it wouldn't come straight back in!

@sharonelton How inconsiderate of the wasp to disrupt a lady’s toilette.
