Wow!! A beautiful bond!

My family had a cat and dog in the home at the same time. The cat Spooky did not like our dog Sam, probably because he was there first. Spooky would hiss at Sam every time he came near. The cat even smacked Sam with his paws a few times until Sam had enough and chased Spook around the house. After that they both kept their distance. But like you, I've also seen cats get on well with dogs. Guess it's all in their temperament.
