I got some work done on my book this morning!

I did some editing, and a bit of writing, in my book chapter about the autistic 2-year-old I worked with at my friend's preschool a couple of years ago. I was able to make some really good strides with that child, and wanted to capture our story together. He's the little one I reached out to through music, and wound up discovering that he could count to ten as well. I had not edited this chapter in about a month. Sometimes it is good to step back from ones writing and revisit it after awhile. @Just4Him might agree with me, but I don't want to put words in her mouth. I am really happy with this chapter, and could finish it tonight if I had a tomorrow deadline. The funny thing is, having a book in progress "gives my life meaning." I almost DON'T want to finish it. Kind of like the speakers I work on. I enjoy the process as much as the product. Anyway, that's my story and I'm sticking to it. Have you done anything "productive" today? Photo is of a little girl (probably in her teens now) I worked with in Oakland. She was my all time puzzle queen. There IS a chapter about her in my book.

So you need to plan out your next project and outline it so you will be ready to start writing on it when you finish! Passion makes it perfect and enjoyable!

I have ideas for other books. But I am not sure I have enough time left in this body to write them.

@kareng This one will be both joyous and edgy. The next one could be more dark and political,

Good for you getting more work done on your book, That is why I keep writing and posting it makes me feel like I am doing things I really enjoy and I can keep track of how much I get done,

I've had that too. Finished something that seemed to take forever and then there is this big empty space with nothing to fill it.

Yep. I have even gone so far as to leave one of my speakers (a Dynaco A-25) only half oiled, just in case I really need to oil something up.
