Delicious dried figs

Dried fruits are may favourite and there is a big list but figs top the list. They are a bit hard on my teeth. I soak them in sugar syrup and eat them while they are soft. We have wild figs growing in our garden and I have made syrup following a recipe I watched on Youtube Eating ice cream with fig syrup is heavenly Image Credit:

My dad has a few fig trees in his balcony. Since they are not grown in ground and therefore the harvest is several small figs only. But it already makes my dad glad. Here we usually use the dried figs to make a soup. We seldom eat fresh figs because they are not very common fruits here.

@allknowing That is Chinese soup. It's common that we put figs in soups with some meat.

I've only gone as far as eating pastry stuffed with fig preserves. I imagine they're a lot flavorful when fresh or dried.
