Dried fruits are may favourite and there is a big list but figs top the list.
They are a bit hard on my teeth. I soak them in sugar syrup and eat them while they are soft.
We have wild figs growing in our garden and I have made syrup following a recipe I watched on Youtube
Eating ice cream with fig syrup is heavenly

My dad has a few fig trees in his balcony. Since they are not grown in ground and therefore the harvest is several small figs only. But it already makes my dad glad. Here we usually use the dried figs to make a soup. We seldom eat fresh figs because they are not very common fruits here.

@allknowing Besides figs, we will also put some meats or bones inside.

@allknowing That is Chinese soup. It's common that we put figs in soups with some meat.

I've only gone as far as eating pastry stuffed with fig preserves. I imagine they're a lot flavorful when fresh or dried.

We had a very prolific fig tree when we lived on the farm.
