Landers Superstore is finally open again!

After almost a year of waiting, the Landers Superstore near our place is open again. It closed last February or March because of a fire incident. They kept promising that they will open "soon" but never did. Until finally, I got word that it's really going to open last Wednesday. And what perfect timing -- for this was the day that my best friend and I were set to meet for brunch in the area. I didn't really plan to go on the reopening day because I'm not a fan of big crowds. But my friend was so excited to survey the superstore and see what she could get on a budget. By golly, I got tired and overwhelmed having to help her navigate every single aisle and tell some people "excuse me, excuse me" because they kept blocking the flow. It didn't help that there were only big carts to push in that store. Anyway, I surveyed the produce and was happy to see the same fresh meats, poultry, seafood, fruits and veggies. I'll go back next week for a bit of shopping. . I'm glad I won't have to go to other supermarkets now just to get provisions. This Landers branch is just 5 blocks away from our apartment.
