It's 5 am where I live. It's cold. 34F outside. Not sure what the temperature is inside.
Hubby and I play a "game" where we don't turn on the furnace until we absolutely have to and the goal is to wait until at least Thanksgiving each year.
So I have flipped on the gas fireplace which is right near my desk in my office and hoping it'll chase the chill off a little bit.
It's probably not "THAT" cold in here, although I'm sure it's cold, but obviously it feels colder when you've just come out from under warm blankets.
Photo taken by me of my actual fireplace just now.

It’s the wind that makes it feel worse. Of course, I’m feeling colder now than usual….resorting to drinking hot tea at every meal to warm me up.

I used to wait until January to turn on my heat because the cold didn’t bother me. With my arthritis though now, the past two years have caused me to turn it on at night in November. I layer up in clothes, but it’s still too chilly. I think the poor weather stripping has to do with it too.

@looeyville And here’s mine. Heavy snow here but unlikely to lie.
