The past month and a half have been a whirlwind for me with so many different things going on. Many of you have noticed that I haven't been here much lately, and it's just because there's been so much going on in my world around me.
But, going back to the end of October, we got to celebrate my daughter's 25th birthday. She wanted a SpongeBob SquarePants themed birthday party, so we gave her one! Although she is not one for surprise parties, the whole family pulled together to pull off an amazing surprise SpongeBob birthday celebration for her, and she absolutely loved it! It was a costume party, so everyone had to dress like a character from the show. I wasn't sure how much the party attendees would get into the costume idea, but in the end they did not disappoint!

Oh my goodness, you guys are look alikes. The only costume parties I have gone to have been Halloween ones.

In my younger adulthood days, I used to go to Halloween costume parties every year. They were so much fun! I should start doing that again, as everyone had so much fun dressing up at my daughter’s birthday party.

Happy Belated Birthday to your daughter, you both look great in the photo.
That is an amazing party theme, and I can see the decorations in the background fit right in.
I remember our son had a Lion King themed birthday party for his fourth or fifth birthday, the gifts were all Lion King themed except for one, but nobody dressed the part.

happy belated birthday to your daughter, you guys look really happy in that picture 
birthday theme she chose is really interesting and i'm glad everyone understood the assignment. it would be awesome if someone came with a clarinet and started playing birthday song 
i was never at a costume party, but in our Kindergarten we used to make birthday parties for the kids and if they like Paw Patrol - we'd try to find Paw Patrol plates or balloons. their parents would get the cake (usually with picture of kids current obsession )
i hope the things that were happening around you were some good and busy things and that everything's fine.

It was such a fun party. I miss the days of my youth where we used to have themed parties all the time. Maybe we should do that more as adults.

@MarieCoyle She made this amazing compilation video from all the photos and videos that were taken at the party and sent it out to everyone as a big thank you for such a memorable event. She even set the video to the SpongeBob theme music. Lol

Everyone loved the idea and thought it was a great way to celebrate her birthday. Everyone—from the grandparents all the way down to the youngest cousins—went all out with their costumes.

A college buddy of mine hosted a Halloween party every year, and he would get tons of people to come dressed up. It became such a big hit that people would talk about it all year long. And people really went out of their way to plan their costumes.
