I Got My SAD Light--I Mean My Happy Light!

Before the winter was over last year, I had made up my mind to buy a SADD light for this winter. I seem to get a bit worse every year with the gloominess of winter. By that, I am talking about cloudy skies, grey skies, etc.
For those of you who are not familiar with SAD or SADD lights, they are therapy lights to help you improve your energy level, well-being and also help with depression that the gloominess brings on.
I picked out a model on Amazon and ordered it. Lights with at least 10,000 LUX is recommended. I ordered one with 15,000 LUX. And when it came in, I got the wrong model! They sent me a 10,000 LUX. I ended up sending it back and got credit for it. I figured I would just reorder another one in a few days.
However, I found one while out shopping on sale. It was only 10,000 LUX but for the price, I figured it was worth a try! It was marked down to $5.00! I was skeptical that it was a returned and/or broken light, but it has been working fine. I can also see/feel a difference since I have been using it.
This was a big win! I got something I needed for a great price. Big Win!
Did you score any big wins lately?

I'm glad too hear it's working for you. That's good. If it works, and you got it marked down, that really is a win.

@kareng For basically a mood light? Talk about over-priced. But, in this ecconomiey something that should be worth five bucks feels almost like a scam. I'm glad it is working out for you. Sometimes, less is more and it really does work out.

@kaylachan The light gives off special light that you would also get from natural sunlight, so you are getting something your body needs. It is not a mood light. It causes a chemical change in your brain to recharge your body. This syndrome drains people of energy and can bring on depression.

That's great that the light is helping with your moods. Thankfully we have so much lovely weather here that hopefully not too many suffer from SAD.
