The versatile pineapple

Pineapple is one fruit that makes its appearance in several places. It is eaten with cheese and crackers, it is eaten plain with a dash of sugar, the juice of the pineapple is irresistible. It goes into many dishes specially Chinese. I have made pineapple souffle a dessert which is a must at any party. We have grown pineapples in our garden and have enjoyed them. The only problem is that the mongoose also likes it and it is on a first come first served basis. It is covered with a thick skin and to remove it takes time. The aroma of a ripe pinapple spreads all over. I have read somewhere that smell attracts snakes. Image credit:
