A fence and a roof

My left-side neighbor got a work friend who has a constructing side hussle to replace the fence and deck. The fence had blown over a couple years ago but we managed to prop it back in place and it was good enough for a couple years.
But this year, she got the fence replaced, then had her friend rebuild her deck.
He did a lovely job on both so I asked him to put a roof over my patio. I'm happy with it, but because it's almost the end of November now, I won't be sitting out there any time soon. At least I can park my walker under it and it won't get wet when it rains.
I used a bunch of the old fence boards to rebuild some of my raised veggie beds, and edge the flower bed by the fence.

It'll be ready for the spring at least.

Yes, then I can sit out there reading even if it's raining.

@BarBaraPrz That's one of George's favorite parts of our house. The front porch.

Yeah, now I just have to be patient for the nice weather to come back.

And when my neighbor saw it all finished, she said, "Now I want a roof over my deck".

it looks nice and it's good that you got to use the old fence in some way. maybe you won't be using patio during winter, but i can imagine having lovely nights there during spring and specially summer
