There is no limit on the number of varieites that exist when it comes to Orchids. Orchids are normally found in jungles clinging to trees. The orchid enthusiast will travel far and wide collecting different species and introduce them t orchid lovers. I have not succeeded in growing orchids They need a particular climate, particular soil and particular watering method. Nietther too much sun nor too little of it can destroy your orchids Hope one day I will succeed in growing them. Image credit:

I remember visiting an Orchid garden in Gangtok, Sikkim. I loved Sikkim! Its been so many years since I last visited Sikkim. I love the mountains!

I have never tried to grow orchids. I don't think they would do well here anyway. I did have a friend years ago that had one indoors and it survived for several years.
