Tomorrow I will Regroup

This afternoon we brought the twins here to help decorate our Christmas tree.
I put some decorations up near the top and on the sides, as I knew that they would not be able to reach all of the branches. I had a feeling that they would do a little section. I had no idea it would be such a small section. Harper put as many decorations as she could in 1 little space, and the gingerbread man is actually hung backwards. But to her it was beautiful.
I believe that I will take tomorrow as a me day. I haven't slept in 1 minute later than I do when I work, I am tired. I have no plans, I will shower and dress after lingering over my morning coffee, and if that is 2 cups, then that is what it will be. I am just craving some downtime for me, not looking after little ones or anyone for that matter. It may sound a bit selfish, but I am mentally tired, and that affects the rest of my body, and I just need to regroup tomorrow.
For those who celebrate in the US, Happy Thanksgiving to you tomorrow.

@rakski I have a skin rash which flares when I am under stress.
It kicked up last week before my vacation began, but this week as I stu over procedures at work, it is worsening, and I just need to shut off my brain for a day or two and hopefully that rash will settle down as well as my nerves. I worry too much about work.

i think it is so cute that they decorated it the way they liked it, even if you think it could be put differently and look nicer
i hope you get the rest you need, i don't think it's selfish. take care!

We all need that me time and some of us (guilty, here) don't take it when we should, not very often anyway. Please...take your me time. Drink the extra coffee, just rest and as you say, regroup.
I love watching littles help hang ornaments. Like you said, to them, no matter what it is or where it's placed, it's beautiful. And it IS beautiful, indeed.

Thanks Marie, I slept in about an hour today, which felt wonderful.
I am just taking my first cup of coffee but I am in a relaxed mood and besides watching for a delivery that I am expecting today, I have no plans.
The tree did remind me of what our tree used to look like when our son was young. It is not possible to turn back the hands of time, but their activity sure did it for us yesterday.
Happy Thanksgiving.

They did a great job.
We all need time to ourselves.

There's nothing wrong with taking some me time. You can't be on the go all the time.

I honestly thought that just being off from work would let me relax, but it has not.
I just have to realize that a homebody needs to stay put at home at times, that is how I will spend today and tomorrow.
This crazy rash on my arms is so painful and I am out of cream. I will use the OTC hydrocorizone cream and the calamine lotion today.

Enjoy your "me day".
Willow and Harper must be excited to decorate the Christmas tree.
