Happy Black Friday Day!

Good Morning and happy Black Friday Day! Who's going out to fight the crowds for those bargains and deals? I'm going to sit here at home and search online and shop for mine. I have already done some shopping as stores are starting their sales earlier and earlier every year. I will also be doing my own online Black Friday sale for stock I have on hand with my business. I decided that late last night after I read on Facebook coming home that the boutique here in town where I have products stocked decided to close today! What? The biggest shopping day of the year and you close? I had a customer coming for a pick up today and I'm not too happy about her not being able to get her order. I was supposed to drop it off this morning. Win some, lose some. I changed my ad up for the boutique and made the sale for Saturday and Small Business Saturday. Go me! I will be hanging around the house today, doing more laundry, working on getting stock priced for boutique, drug store and flea market. I need to get ahead of the game here since I fell behind last weekend. Have a great day shopping and let us all know if you survived if you went out to physically shop in the stores today! That’s really disappointing that they closed. I hit the online sales around 3am when I couldn’t sleep.

Right and biggest shopping day in U.S.!! I found out they decided to go to a water fowl event that they have been doing for years. So you own a business, prepare for closing for the day and let all of your customers and vendors know before the day of closing! Grrr!

@rakski I am just hoping that my customer came in today! I dropped the product off on our way out of town today.

Yes, not on your feet, don't have to deal with crowds, or traffic either or standing in line! Win all the way around!

I was shocked. We were talking the other day and she had still not decided what she was doing for Black Friday. That may have been a hint/clue that I should have taken more seriously I suppose. I would have thought that she would have just told me though!

@wolfgirl569 Exactly! She at least put up a post about my sale today. Grrr. It's just not the way you run a business, small town or large town!

I didn't even know the sales were on. I thought Black Friday sales were only on Friday 13. I clearly got that wrong.

It is tradition here for it to be the day after Thanksgiving, which is always a Friday.

I avoided the Black Friday spending spree, just popped up the shops for a few items for this evening and then home. Hope the pick up went okay

Not me!! I’m waiting for a 3 PM teleheath appointment with a VA doctor (and that’s really cool, given that I just called them 20 minutes ago). I did go out and eat at Chuy’s, which is located behind one of the biggest malls in town. I was able to get in without any problem; and, when I left, I knew the “shortcut” through the subdivisions to get out without having to deal with the mall traffic (which was pretty bad at noon). I noticed that Best Buy didn’t open until 6 AM this morning, so maybe the days of 4 AM “door busters” are over. Plus, I got my Apple Watch for $329 on a “Black Friday” deal four days ago. I know I won’t be hitting the stores until after Christmas (and especially NOT the day after Christmas, which tends to be worse because of the returns and flocking in to use the gift cards).

I won't be mixing with it all either. Tomorrow I am spending the day at the monthly dog rescue day. That will be much more unstressful, playing with dogs and puppies!
