Edible Bubbles

Wouldn’t you have loved to have edible bubbles when you were a kid, and blowing them everywhere? They are kid and pet friendly. I got them to review, and gave three to Amyra, Hudson, and Annelyn to play with, while I saved one to entertain my dog. They offer cinnamon, but my type was maple bacon. Oh, the wondrous things they have come up with since my childhood!

They would have been fun. I tried catnip bubbles on Nico once. He is a big fan of "the nip."

I don't understand what these are. Are the candy or snacks or bubble gum?

They’re classified under toys, but since you can eat the bubbles I would count them as candy. You just blow on the little wand dipped in the solution, and you can try to catch the bubbles in your mouth since they are safe to eat for child and pet. These are Maple Bacon flavored so Sadie really enjoyed them.

Given kids and animals put anything in their mouths, you'd think bubble makers would've thought of that when they first constructed the idea.

Those bubbles look like they would bring out the kid in us and it would be hard to resist maple bacon flavor.

I had a battery-driven bubblemaker with edible bubbles for my dogs. Edible bubbles are so much better than the regular ones. Have a good day.

@AmbiePam Haha. I wonder if dogs can tell the difference between real bacon flavor and fake.

Water, a few sodiums , citric acid, and potassium. But honestly, from observation, the kids can’t really catch a bubble, just the dog. Annelyn just gave up and licked the wand once. They had a blast trying though. And Annelyn said it tasted “yummy and like syrup”.

@Fleura Yeah, I’m not worried. I imagine half of the stuff we eat has things in it like that. Heck, even non organic fruit that is washed still has traces of pesticides found on them. That in itself is ridiculous. So one lick of an edible bubble doesn’t worry me.

@AmbiePam I looked up edible bubbles and yes the key ingredient is sodium laureth sulphate, the detergent that's used in household cleaners and things like shampoo and toothpaste to make them frothy. I guess a bubble or two is harlmess though.

Edible bubbles would be great for many of us to eat when I was a child.
