I did not hear from him yesterday; and I did not attempt to call. I will try and call today. Lately he does not seem to be able to call on his own too often.
Monday we talked about moving him again. We both decided he should stay where he is until his doctor's appointment on the 10th. The facility will make arrangements to take him there and take him back to the facility.
Thank you for your continued prayers, support and thoughts.

Hope the appointment is good. If you can't meet him there see if they will call and include you so you know first hand what is going on.

I had to do that with my aunt's doctor a few times. They called me, and put me on speaker phone and we talked that way with aunt, me, and the doctor. I hated it, but I couldn't always be there.

@MarieCoyle It's better than trying to figure things out second hand. Especially when they are having memory problems.

I’m glad you don’t have to worry about supplying the transportation for his doctor’s appointment!!

Yes. There's no way I could have someone handle him.

Has the care at the place where he's at gotten any better?

@MarieCoyle The first place was much better as far as care goes.

Which one had better care in your opinion, the first place or the one he is in now? I hope you can get it worked out. It may come down to which facility is best to care for a dementia/sundowning resident.

@LindaOHio Are you informed concerning what the Dr. visit is about?

@TheHorse He has that 18" Foley inserted because he wasn't passing any urine. We should be able to find out what the problem is.

They should at least be able to get that right.

I hope you can find a way to make it to his appoitment at least. As his wife, you should know what's going on. You know when and where it'll be, and you have time to make calls and see if you can be there.

Hopefully the doctor will say he can remove the catheter. Probably best not to think about moving him until after his appointment.
