Today's trip to the big Tesco. (4/12/2024)

We went to the big Tesco again this afternoon. I posted a few letters when I got there. One was a Christmas card, letter and post card for my penpal in the Rhondda Valley in Wales, one was an order for some Christian resources, which are free, and the third was an order for some books from Bibliophile Books. Before I went out I also ordered some things from Amazon too, because today I claimed £60 in Amazon gift cards from doing surveys! When my parcels come I'm not going to open them till Christmas because I'm going to class them as some extra Christmas presents! (Presents to self!) After I'd posted my letters, I got rid of the soft recycle. Then I went and got a trolley and we went up on the lift. We got some flowers today, then we went and got the TV magazines because no-one went out to the little Tesco again yesterday. I didn't get any magazines today, but I got a bounty bar for Syd, 2 bottles of water and some sushi. Then my Mum got some money wallets to give money to people in for Christmas. Then I went to see if I could get any menopause patches, but I couldn't, and I couldn't get any of the MenoHerb either that I usually get. I got something called Menopace instead, so we'll see how that works. This one is supposed to be taken with your main meal. Then we went and got the usual fruit and vegetables, except I didn't get a red pepper because I'm having something else on Friday for dinner. But I did get some celery and soy milk. We got the usual things. Mum got some chicken wings. She got her ready meals etc. I got various things for Syd too. Mum got some mince pies and cakes. She got some apple turnovers for her and Syd's supper tonight. She says it hasn't got as much cream in as the raspberry ones. I got Pringles and crisps, chocolate digestives for Syd and matcha green tea T-bags for me. I forgot to get Mum's honey roast peanuts. We got a chocolate biscuit assortment for the foodbank at Church, and when I got a box of Alpen cereal with no added sugar for Mum, she wanted me to get another of those for the foodbank aswell. I told my Mum I wanted to get some cat food for the Community Kitty. Community Kitty is a foodbank thing in Tesco for people who can't afford to feed their cats. It is in association with the Lichfield and Tamworth branch of Cat's Protection. I got myself some frozen white and red onion, and Mum found a Turkey crown for Christmas for her and Syd, and some Aunt Bessies roasties. She also got some ice lollies. We didn't need to get any more frozen stuff, so I went to find some drain unblocker. The drainer of our sink has a draining bit on it that is blocked because the water is not going down it. When I'd got that, I went to get some cat food for the Community Kitty. I got a box of Adult cat food and a box especially for kittens. Then I went to pay. My Mum thought it was going to be really expensive, and she gave me like £360 pound or something! It only came to around £130. It was cheaper than last week! I went back and sat on the bench with my Mum, and she was quite surprised when I gave her about £230 in change! I went and put the boxes of cat food in the Community Kitty box. I saw that a few people had donated exactly the same as I had! Then me and my Mum went back down on the lift. Syd was already there when we got into the undercover car park. It was about 4:29pm so he was early! I don't know how long he'd been there! We put everything in the boot and went home. When we got home I unpacked the groceries and put them away. Then I had my dinner and watched some telly. Santa Claus is supposed to be coming round tonight! It's the Round Table charity. Don't ask me what they do 'cos I don't know! Santa Claus comes round on his float playing music and saying "Ho, Ho, Ho! Merry Christmas everybody!" And people in florescent yellow jackets come round shaking buckets of change waiting for your donations! Sometimes, if you listen very carefully, you can hear him from miles away. What have you lot been getting up to today? I hope you are all well. Have a great night.

@sharonelton just have to manage from month to month, Vocal Media is a writing site where you have to write articles with at least 600 words and you get some money for reading from those who look at your articles but it always takes a very long time to get to the payout point, However, since I enjoy writing and I can also post poetry I like to work on the site,

Thank you very much. I'm glad too. What's vocal media? You only order groceries once a month? What about if you get something that needs to be used up in 7 days, or what if the use by dates aren't good enough?

@RasmaSandra I hope you don't get food poisoning from out of date food! So it's a bit like MyLot then, but with a specification of how many words you need to use.

@sharonelton I went to dismal old Asda this morning. Oh and I got a parcel in the post - a pair of really good boots from Vinted for £15.

Why do you go to Asda if it's so dismal? I'm glad you got some really good boots. I need some new boots.

@sharonelton Asda is our only supermarket. There is a little Tesco but it’s positioned inconveniently for me and in Lifl you never know if they’ll have what you want.

@xFiacre I see. I am so sorry. You have to suffer the dismal Asda! Did you mean Lidl? I don't like it in there either!

Yes. I don't get that many Christmas presents these days, with all my Grandmas and Grandads no longer with us. So presents to self give me a few extra things to open.

I have been working on sharing news stories as well as working on getting rid of the garbage inside of the home and working behind my desk working on making money.

I hope you had some success with that. I really need to do some sorting out, but there's nothing I want to get rid of! I hope you had some success with that too.

I had to buy a new washer and dryer. That will be our present for this year. We are drowning in s**w. I think this is going to be a bad year. Have a good day.

We bought a new washing machine this year. I think it was this year. I'll have to go back through my posts to see when it was. (Edit:- It was 30 Oct 2023 when we had our new washing machine connected.) I'm sorry you are drowning in s**w. We haven't had any more since that little bit we had a few weeks ago. Thank you very much. I hope you have a good day too.
