The painting of the butterfly that I finished last Thursday.

Above is a picture of the butterfly painting that I finished last Thursday.
The background was just me using up left over paint one week so it wouldn't go to waste, and I just smeared it all over a canvas with a palette knife!
Then I decided I'd paint a butterfly on top of it. I drew the outline on it with a white gel pen. I did the black and yellow of the wings two weeks ago. I used thick paint for the yellow parts. I then painted in the pink flowers at the bottom.
Then last week I did some details on top. I did the blue bits on the wings on the right, and the antenna on the left. I also added darker and lighter bits to the flowers to give them a more three dimensional affect.
Then I called it finished. I photographed it and I will sign it later.

@Shivram59 Thank you. I hope to do that in the new year. And when I join the magazines art website thing I also get free entry to art competitions too. I also want to try and do a portrait of Wynne Evans dog Ginny. She's a beautiful little dog, but she's old now. Then I'll send it to Wynne Evans! But it's got to be really good of I'm going to send it to him. I'm not going to send it to him if I don't think it's good enough.

Hopefully it will get sold eventually. I will measure it first and then work out how to price it.
