Game room is coming along

We call it a 'game room' but it's the spare room in our apartment and it serves multi purposes of being a game room, guest room, craft room, nerd room, etc.
We recently bought a sofa futon for it and I setup a new craft table for my painting and sewing, finally have my Mac on a desk (I was previously using a cardboard box for a year)
Bf's mom gave us an extra tv and we moved one of our Xboxes into the room, boyfriend's desk and gaming pc are now setup, plus some of our nerd merch such as funko pops and art from anime is displayed.
I still have more to do but it's coming along and I'm getting so excited about having a comfortable and organized space for both of our hobbies and interests.

That's wonderful. I keep telling myself I clean out my office but I never seem to get around to it. I can't really use it right now because I need to be able to stop what I'm doing to help my husband. I don't always know what that looks like.

@Kamuigan No, not really. I have plenty of downtime to work on it, I just can't be in a position where I can't hear my husband. One of the problems the stroke gave my husband is his ability to communicate clearly. I understand him more than a stranger wuld because I know him so well. So, I could use my office if I really wanted to, as long as I could hear him. It's really more a matter of what's easier to do.

@kaylachan I'm sorry to hear that but it's understandable as his needs come first. Maybe you could try a few different solutions, such as a baby monitor that you could carry with you in the office and still be able to hear what he's doing while you're busy.

@Kamuigan gaming setup, working setup, some artsy things, shelves for lego and books, tv and a multi-purpose armchair/sofa thing i saw on temu. all these things (except temu sofa) are currently in our bedroom and they're taking up too much space. i really hope sometime in future we have a game/nerd room

We live in a 2 bdrm apartment and have to make the most of the small living space we have. We even swapped our bedroom to the smaller room so we can have the larger bedroom for this multi purpose room. One day we will own a home and hopefully have more space for our hobbies!
