Thanks to the teamwork of the Springville Police Department and bystanders who worked together to capture a female horse that was running on the streets of Springville on Wednesday November 20. The horse was seen running on U S Highway 6 starting at a Wal Mart and was running to Motor Sportsland where the local police and the bystanders were able to capture the horse. The female horse was then taken to a Utah County Sheriff's Office trailer where the female horse will likely be taken to an animal shelter to like be reunited with her owner or placed for adoption. I am glad the people were able to get the horse safely. The owners need to check their fence line since she got out so hopefully it won't happen again.

I am in agreement with you that the owners of the farm should check the fence closer to avoid a horse leaving their home.

So am I happy that the horse was not hurt by any autos hitting her while she was on the road.

No saddle on the horse, so it must have escaped from a paddock, rather than throwing the rider off. Maybe a rearing snake in its paddock spooked it to jumping the fence and escaping, and it was good many hands made light work of catching the horse.

It is likely what happened that a snake scared the horse and she managed to run away from home.

I'm so glad the horse wasn't injured. So many animals run on the highway.
