Not going shopping today because of the weather.

I was going to go shopping today, but the weather has put a stop to that. I mean, I think I could have gone, because the wind is really not supposed to be picking up till 3:00pm, but my Mum said best to stay in, in the nice and warm. So that's what I'm going to do. I'm going to stay in the warm and watch the telly, and maybe listen to The Wynne Evans show on BBC Radio Wales.
My Mum is still going to the house group at Church though. On the way home she might go to the little Tesco to see if they have any Christmas cards for the neighbours and ones to post. The ones I'm making for her are ones for people at Church and people that she can just pass them to. I don't know why she doesn't want to give the neighbours one of my handmade cards though.
Saturday is supposed to be really bad, with winds up to 80mph! Storm Dara is on the way, and we still haven't got over storm Bert! I was listening to The Wynne Evans show this morning and one lady said she's going to be travelling to somewhere in Wales tomorrow to celebrate her 70th birthday. I thought, Good luck to you, in 80mph winds! The weather report did say to try and avoid travelling.
Also it will probably be windy again on Sunday, so I might not be going to Church again. I don't want to get blown away! I'll watch Freedom Church on YouTube instead. It's supposed to be a meal in Church on Sunday. I wasn't staying for that anyway. Last time I asked for something "Vegan," I got 2 dry pieces of bread with two vegan sausages inbetween!
Anyway, what are your plans for the weekend? Are you going to be staying in, in the warm, or do you plan to go out somewhere? Any Christmas parties planned, or nativities? Let me know!
I hope you are all well.
Have a nice day and a wonderful weekend.

Batten down the hatches and don't get blown away. We still have 2 feet of s**w on the ground. We will be going out Sunday to see my husband. It's supposed to be above freezing that day. Have a good weekend.

@sharonelton It's been above freezing; and now we have heavy rain. It will definitely melt a lot of s**w. It will be a big muddy mess.

@LindaOHio I'm glad it's above freezing where you are now, and I'm glad the rain will melt a lot of s**w, but I'm sorry it'll be a muddy mess! I remember those days!

I did! Thank you very much.
I'm sorry you still have s**w. Any idea when it's due to be gone?
I hope you managed to get out to see your husband. I hope it was above freezing, and I hope you had a good weekend.

I hope you are well.
Have a nice day.

i'm always for the "stay home" option, specially when it's so windy outside. it's so nice that you're making some of the cards yourself, i used to do that too. hopefully that lady has a good time and some anchor so she doesn't get blown away
sorry about bad vegan meal. i guess they tried their best. i was asking for vegetarian at some events and i would get a cheese and salad sandwich. i loved that
no plans for the weekend (yet). but i think i'm going to invite my friend over for coffee

@sharonelton i loved double sided tape, i think you just need to get used to it more
i read about Wynne and the weather in your other post. maybe God answered your prayer in a way you couldn't even imagine
and yes, i invited her over. we spent some time together, catching up on everything that's been happening in past two weeks we didn't see each other.

@aureategloom Yes, you're probably right.
Thank you. What did you mean by that? God answered my prayer because Wynne is OK, so I'm glad about that.
I'm glad you enjoyed spending some time with your friend. I think I'm going to ask my friend if she'd like to go Christmas shopping some time.

Yes, I agree with you. I really don't like being blown off my feet!
Yes, I like making my own cards. The only gripe I have is with the double sided celotape! I got finger lift tape because I thought it would be easier to get the backing off, but now it doesn't reach the edge of the card, so I have to overlap it over the edge, and sometimes I overlap it too far, and get sticky on my fingers! If that happens I with cut it flush to the card so there's no sticky overhanging the edge!
I hope the lady didn't get blown away too!
Wynne was out at the weekend too. On Friday night he had a concert in Liverpool, on Saturday he had one in Birmingham, and last night he was in London. Infact he's still in London now, doing The Wynne Evans radio show from there. So at the weekend I sent a little prayer up to God to protect him and keep him safe.
It was horrific! If that was trying their best I'd hate to be there if they were being slack!
Did you invite your friend over in the end?
I hope you are well.
Have a nice day.

@sharonelton No Christmas parties here - can’t be doing with them. Instead I’m refreshing my memory regarding some nice points of Old Testament grammar. Yes, I’m a nerd and a dork, but it’s what I like.

Why don't you like Christmas parties?
That sounds interesting. Which points of Old Testament grammar did you refresh your memory on? It's not nerdy and it's not dorky!
I have regular emails from the Messianic Bible. They are creating a Bible for Jewish people to introduce them to the Messiah. Their emails are very interesting, dealing with Jewish customs and Jewish Biblical grammar and stuff. I'm writing them out into a notebook. So far I've done one about the importance of numbers in Hebrew and I'm currently writing out one about Hebrew names for God. It is very interesting.
