I was just reminded why I hate delivery.

Don't get me wrong. I'm thankful the service exists. It makes shopping a lot easier. For the past year, I've been relying on walmart for groceries, because I can link my OTC card to my walmart account and use it as a payment method. My experiences have been fine for the most part, except on my last two orders. One item was missing. Last time it was the hand soap. Okay, fine. I had some extra and enough until my next grocery order. So that's cool. Well, I ordered a gallon of milk. Didn't get it. So I re-ordered it.
Funny enough neither time did I get a notification an item was out of stock. Or could not be found. In the past, it would alert me the item was not avaible and to discuss options with my shopper. But the last two times, no notification no report of missing item. so I expected said item.
I'll be happy to go back to in-person shopping.

in-person shopping is the best way to shop when it comes to food
I do a lot of online shopping but it's not for food but for other things.

That is not great user experience. Something that definitely needs to be raised with Walmart. We do need the alert in case items are unavailable or are missing. Guess , the easier way also could be delivery person from Walmart to ensure everything ordered is delivered and if not process the refund or arrange for the item to be delivered. Unfortunately , this is also one of the challenges when we order online. I did face those challenges even my other orders other than grocery ones. And when it is urgent , I prefer going to store and buying insted of online order as there is also potential in delivery delays as well. Enjoy the weekend!

@RevivedWarrior Walmart has no control of what happens outside the store's walls. I do wish there was a better system in place, but ordering food isn't as simple as ordering say a vaccum or something like that.

I've had this same experience with Walmart. I have quit using them and use local grocery store that delivers. Much better plus they have nice perks.

I don't have a lot of a choice. I can't afford to pay out-of-pocket for groceries plus fees and tips.

I'm not one to complain or anything. I'm one to roll with the punches. But, I'm just.... being a caregiver and wife just has its moments and today I just wanted to cry, but couldn't.

@kaylachan Hugs to you, Kayla. I can definitely relate to those moments of wanting to cry. I know you wouldn't let something like this get to you, but argh with the little wrenches in life. Missing soap or milk can be dealt with, but it would have been nice if the delivery was complete so it's one less thing to think about.

I was not happy. I'll give you that. I re-ordered the missing milk before I said anything to George and got him confused or upset.

For me, theres a real risk with online shopping. my usual problems was when I ordered a laptop battery. Others it was a cell phone, and the one delivered was not the one I ordered. There's refund but it's a hassle. sadly, in person shopping the items at the mall are more expensive than the ones online.

My anxiety is always that they'll run out of something and want to substitute with a more expensive item,I got my groceries delivered today and wrapped up in a cloth coat to wait for the delivery guy. I found if I stood right in the sun I was all right, Luckily it was a guy who made the delivery fast and quick, I hope you and George have a relaxing evening, Hey, just turned around and good that I had not put away the big package of toilet paper now Tish is sleeping in it

I've never used delivery for groceries or anything else. We have shoppers at my store and many deliver. They try to get a hold of customers when items are out of stock but sometime they aren't able to reach the person for some reason.

Walmart is pretty good. And, no this is streight up stelling. I re-ordered the missing milk and magically got it sedond time around.

It is frustrating to experience this. I have dealt with a similar situation before and had to contact the platform. Fortunately, my money was reimbursed promptly.
